Diamond In The Ruff is a non-profit dog rescue and shelter dedicated to
making a difference one dog at a time.
We are a no-kill dog shelter that rescues dogs
from high-kill animal facilities.
Diamond in the Ruff works very hard to give
these abandoned dogs another chance in life. Each and
EVERY dog taken in, gets spayed or neutered, and given any
medical treatment necessary. We work patiently to rehabilitate
fearful dogs to the loving care of a human, so that they may
eventually be adopted. In some cases, these dogs have never had a kind word or touch, and it is a slow process. After determining temperaments and compatibility factors, we begin the search for the right home.
We are also devoted to educating the public on responsible pet ownership, and advocating against the inhumane activity of dogfighting and the unethical practice of backyard breeding.
